Built for Florida Families

Florida is leading the nation in protecting youth online. The 2024 Online Protections for Minors Act (HB-3) gave parents new rights—but parents need tools and resources to use those rights effectively.

This Center provides Florida families with comprehensive, research-based resources to navigate the mental health impacts of social media and enforce the protections our state has established. From COPPA compliance to understanding app ratings, we make complex digital safety issues simple and actionable.

Financial Transparency

Where Your Support Goes

We are committed to complete financial transparency. The Center for Social Media and Youth is initially seeking seed funding from the Florida Legislature and will operate under the Claude Pepper Foundation—an independent 501(c)(3) with its own mission, housed at the Claude Pepper Center at FSU but operating with complete autonomy. We accept no funding from companies we rate.
